THE SNACK LIST

A go-to guide for healthier packaged foods.

The Snack List is the result of ongoing research to find the cleanest packaged foods available. It's here to help you save time and support brands that honestly care about consumer health.

This list isn't perfect, but it captures the best of what I've discovered, prioritizing options with real whole food ingredients and organic certification when available.

BARS

BREAD

This is a surprisingly difficult find. Look out for additives and added sugar, and prioritize organic - glyphosate is often used as a desiccant on wheat and oat crops.

CEREAL & GRANOLA

Seven Sundays oat-based cereals are certified glyphosate residue free by the The Detox Project.

CHIPS & CRACKERS

CONDIMENTS & DRESSINGS

So many "healthy" brands contain gums (disrupt microbiome) and seed oil bases.

DIPS

Choose organic when bean-based. Legumes/beans are often treated with Glyphosate as a desiccant (speeds drying of crop for harvest), and there is no way to know from a label.

DRIED FRUIT & VEGGIES

ENERGY/PROTEIN BITES

FLOUR

FROZEN SNACKS

JELLY & JAMS

NUT & SEED BUTTERS

PASTA

Brami products are not certified organic, but company sources beans "grown using organic practices without the use of synthetic chemicals".

PIZZA (FROZEN)

MILK (ANIMAL & PLANT-BASED)

Watch out for added emulsifiers and stabilizers, especially carrageenan.

POPCORN

Recommendations for above the age of four.

POPSICLES (+ FROZEN FRUIT SNACKS)

POUCHES

TODDLER: FROZEN MEALS

Super convenient and especially helpful starting solids.
